Banka Kombetare Tregtare has many years of history in serving the financial needs of small businesses and middle size companies, real estate entrepreneurs, public corporations and individual customers. Presently, BKT provides banking services to state and privately owned enterprises and to individuals. The main source of funding for the Bank is customers' deposit, which the Bank accepts in various forms including current accounts, demand and term deposits, in both Lek and foreign currency. It also invests in government securities and takes part in the local and international inter-bank market. The Bank operates through a network of twenty branches and five agencies with banking offices in sixteen main cities of Albania, in Tirana (6 branches and 1 agency), Durresi (branch and custom agency in Durresi Port), Elbasani, Lushnja, Korca (branch and custom agency in Kapshtica), Shkodra, Gjirokastra (branch and custom agency in Kakavija), Vlora, Fieri, Berati, Saranda, Pogradeci, Lezha, Peshkopia, Kukesi and a banking agency in Bilishti.
