The British-Ecuadorian Chamber of Industry and Commerce was founded in Quito on 10 March 1989 in the presence of government representatives from Britain and Ecuador . The Chamber is an organization founded to promote commerce, investment and cultural relations between Great Britain and Ecuador , and we offer our members a range of services to help them achieve that goal. The Chamber is a non - profit organization, independent of the British Government and has about 100 members (multinationals, national businesses and individuals). The Chamber uses traditional and modern means of communication so that our members are always informed and so that we can establish business contacts for them. The Chamber currently uses the following: The Chamber Magazine: published quarterly, this is a completely bilingual magazine distributed free to more than 1000 contacts, as well as our members. Each edition focuses on a different aspect of Ecuadorian and British trade and investment, previous themes include Tourism and Business in the UK . E News: An electronic newspaper sent weekly to our members with the most recent news in Ecuador and news from the Chamber. See News & Events section for more details. Webpage: The website is updated constantly to keep our members up to date with events and news, whilst providing information on both Ecuador and the UK.
