ABBi is acting under an authority given to it by the insurer AAMI to effect insurance on their behalf. AAMI is licensed under the Insurance Act 1973 (Cth) and is regulated by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority which monitors its solvency and that it is able to meet its financial commitments in terms of paying claims.
