The Vintage Wine Fund is a Cayman based investment company, which was established to invest in fine wine with an objective of steady, high capital growth. The Fund is managed on a full discretionary basis by OWC Asset Management Limited, a London based wine investment management company regulated in the marketing of the Fund by the Financial Services Authority. All administration including fund valuations is done entirely independently by Olympia Capital (Ireland) Limited in Dublin. The Fund invests in top wines from many different regions. Due to the large size of production, Bordeaux forms a significant proportion of the Fund however, the top wines from Burgundy and the Rhone valley can show spectacular returns and while not available in the same quantity as Bordeaux, are an important part of the Fund. There are very exciting wines being produced in Tuscany and Piedmont which regularly merit inclusion. Other regions including Champagne, Spain, Portugal, California and Australia are also considered. OWC is regulated in the marketing of wine investment Funds by the Financial Services Authority. Paolo Cristofolini is a leading figure of the alternative asset management industry. From 1998 to 2003 he was President of Agora Capital Management Ltd. From 1993 to 1998, Mr. Cristofolini first established and headed the European offices of Commodities Corporation, then ran simultaneously the European Private Asset Management Group at Goldman Sachs. From 1989 to 1992 Mr. Cristofolini founded and headed the first European investment manager exclusively dedicated to alternative trading strategies.
