New England Pension Consultants (NEPC) is an employee owned, full service investment consulting firm. Founded in 1986, we are one of the largest, truly independent firms in the industry. We are headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and have additional offices in Detroit, Michigan Las Vegas, Nevada and San Francisco, California. NEPC’s sole line of business is investment consulting. Our full service retainer relationships are characterized by an extraordinary service commitment, featuring ready access to our staff and resources, a high level of direct client interaction, and comprehensive investment consulting services. We currently service over 239 retainer clients with total assets in excess of $200 billion. Our clients include defined benefit and defined contribution employee benefit plans, endowments, foundations, insurance, and private wealth investment programs. We improve long-term performance through broad diversification and the efficient implementation of return-enhancing and risk-reducing strategies in our clients’ investment programs. Our People - Our staff is stable and highly professional. Of our thirty-six consultants, twenty-nine have advanced degrees and/or are professionally certified, which we believe is the highest concentration of professionally certified employees of any firm in the investment consulting industry. Importantly, our twenty-eight senior consultants average over eighteen years of investment experience. Structure - Our consulting staff is likely the most stable of any firm in the industry. This is the result of the seniority of the people we hire, combined with profit sharing for all employees and equity participation for the senior employees. The impact of this stability is consistent staffing of client relationships coupled with consistent delivery of our services across the client base. Philosophy - We have a clearly articulated and consistently applied philosophy on structuring investment programs.
