About Us: The Skillstudio training concept was established early in 2000 by Liz Banks and Martin MacLeod (both now Directors of Skillstudio Limited.) It was very clear to both of them that in this 21st century age of computerisation, globalisation and rapid business reorganisation, that highly effective personal communication skills were still an absolute requirement for success in almost all aspects of business life. Liz s career began in the performing arts industry. In addition to her business training experience, she is a qualified teacher and a trained classical dancer and actor. Liz brings with her over 16 years training experience in drama, presentation skills, communications skills and vocal development. Maximising the impact of the individual. Our training techniques are innovative yet very practical, utilising many, highly effective drama techniques that have been adapted pragmatically for the business environment. Our workshops provide a unique learning experience in a supportive environment. Participants build up their self-confidence and learn new empowering techniques as they experiment, discuss and participate in a variety of practical activities. Skillstudio Training Consultants: All our training consultants have been hand picked to ensure you receive the best possible training at all times. Each of them takes much of their creative background from their experience in the performing arts industry. They all have a very pragmatic approach to the application of the theatre to communication skills training and are highly experienced and passionate about their work. You ll also find out that they are highly skilled professionals, with considerable experience (and training) in the use of voice & body language techniques. They are also able to bring out the best in people and will ensure that you develop new skills in a unique and supportive learning environment. And, since they all very approachable and have a good sense of humour, we ensure that the training is an enjoyable experience for you as well as being a rewarding one! From our original base in London, our public workshops now run regularly in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow & Edinburgh and our in-company workshops take place throughout the UK and Europe. In addition, we offer one to one coaching in public speaking, voice coaching, presentation skills, communication skills and interview technique. As Skillstudio has grown, so have our trainers.
